Fashion Friday: Vintage Flare

I know it has been a while since I posted a fashion Friday. To be honest, I would much rather take pictures of food...or animals...or pretty much anything but myself. However, I have made it my goal to become for self confident and comfortable around the camera, plus it forces me to shop and discover new outfits within my closet instead of spending money elsewhere (sigh).

I was on the fence at first about this dress that I got for Christmas. At first glance I thought ewww old lady but when I tried it on I must admit, I suddenly felt like a stylish and sophisticated woman of the late 50s. Very Mad Men if I do say so myself. That is one thing I admire about fashion and clothes in general, with on simple article of cloth, you can transport yourself into another era. What is your favorite fashion era?
